Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother went home to be with our Lord God on September 18, 2024. She passed peacefully from complications of pulmonary fibrosis. She was born in Ventura, California on August 4, 1930 and spent most of her life loving and living on the beach area of Pierpont beach. She was an active member of the Old Mission church and Our Lady Of Assumption. She moved to Oregon to live with her daughter’s care in 2022. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking. She decorated beautiful cakes, enjoyed music, and working on jigsaw puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her father Joseph Carabajal, mother Martha Carabajal, husband Augustine Esperance, and son Steve Esperance. She is survived by her son Tony Esperance (Chris), daughters Theresa Witzig-Smith (Cary) and Lynn Lee, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She has been entrusted to the care of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME , 757 East Main Street, Ventura. Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral mass service to be held at Our Lady Of Assumption Church on Wednesday, October 9 at noon. Burial service to follow at Ivy Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
She will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
