Obituary

Enrique Trejo entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age
of 68 on October 2, 2024. He was born in Zimapan, Hidalgo, Mexico on March 12, 1956
to Hermelindo Trejo Lora and Lucia Trejo Sanchez. The youngest of 17 siblings, he
immigrated to the United States as a teenager in hopes of a better life.
As an immigrant, he lived and worked in various states before meeting the love of his
life, Margarita Ochoa, in California. They married on October 7, 1981 and eventually
settled in Grandview, Washington. They were blessed with five children and worked
hard to support them. Enrique dedicated himself to his children, always making time and
being present in events and sports they participated in.
In 1990, a radical encounter with Jesus Christ rescued Enrique from years of
alcoholism. He gave his life to the Lord while in the middle of a dairy work shift and
never again turned to alcohol. Forever marked by his experience, he passionately
shared the Gospel with anyone he would meet. He went on to become an ordained
minister and pastor of a church. He loved his congregants at Llamado Eterno and was
always excited to preach.
He worked for years in the agriculture and dairy industries before purchasing an auto
salvage yard, renaming it Jericho’s Auto Wrecking, in Prosser in 2003. As a testament
to his work ethic, he eventually started JAW’s Towing and Recovery in 2021. Happy to
be blessed with his dream job, he saw it as an opportunity to help others while doing
something he loved. He could be spotted around town in his red tow truck, excited to
assist in the next tow assignment. Enrique enjoyed the friendships he built in the
automotive industry - from clients to industry partners and law enforcement officials.
Enrique enjoyed spending time with family, studying his Bible, watching soccer, and
caring for his numerous dogs, cats, and sheep. He wanted to be remembered as a
minister of Jesus Christ, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a
proud tow truck owner and operator. Despite experiencing deteriorating health, he
affirmed he did not fear death.
“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though they
die” - John 11:25 -
Enrique is survived by his wife Margarita, his sons Glen, Enrique Jr., and Diego, his
daughters Lucia and Naara, his brother Eulalio, his sister Rutilia, his niece Yemi, twelve
grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, and in-laws. He was preceded in death
by his father Hermelindo, his mother Lucia, his brothers Abelino, Arcadio, Geronimo,
Nemesio, and Taurino, his sisters Eulalia, Amalia, Sergia, and Reina.
