WORCESTER___Vincent L. Sangermano, 82, of Worcester, MA, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 peacefully in the comfort of his home. He leaves his wife Danute Sangermano of 29 years. He was survived by his children Tina Gifford and Nick Sangermano, and step-children Vin and Deb Domantas, and Don and Laima Morin. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Johnathan and Kennedy Domantas, Madeleine and Justin Zgombic, Kristina and Maxwell Garrant, Thomas and Kat Morin, Benjamin Sangermano and Anna Sangermano, and one great-granddaughter Lainey Domantas. He is also survived by his siblings Joanne Chabotte and Louis and Gail Sangermano, and sister-in-law Ann Pridotkas. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Anna Sangermano and his brother-in-law Alex Pridotkas. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Vinny was born in Norwich, Connecticut, and graduated from Norwich Free Academy. He moved to Worcester in 1987 after meeting the love of his life. He was an entrepreneur opening many businesses such as the first bar in Ledyard, Connecticut, and Grammy’s Fish and Chips in Worcester. For years, he was an avid boater at the Westerly Yacht Club in Rhode Island. In his retirement, he spent time working and playing at Pine Ridge Country Club. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, trips to the casino, playing pitch, and his daily game of Gin with his wife. Vinny was a life-long member of the Elks Lodge. His most cherished moments were spending time with his family and friends.
Before his passing, Vinny was fortunate to be able to attend four of his grandchildren’s weddings and cherish the birth of his first great-granddaughter, Lainey.

The funeral will be held on Monday October 7, 2024 from DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. George Church, 38 Brattle St, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday October 6, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
