CONCORD----- Raymond A. Vaillancourt, 83, passed away peacefully with his children by his side at The Birches at Concord, on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Raymond was born on September 14, 1941, in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Albert and Lucille (Morel) Vaillancourt.
Raymond married the woman of his dreams, Loretta M. Chapman. Together they had four children and built their life together in Gilford. They were inseparable since the first day they met. They always put family first, and together they were often found hosting gatherings, camping, and boating.
He was employed for 30+ years with Prudential as an insurance agent, then in his retirement years he worked at Gunstock Mountain greeting visitors. He had a zest for life and loved making others laugh with his many antics. He also loved fishing, skiing and playing horseshoes.
Raymond is survived by his son, Ron Vaillancourt and his significant other Naomi Girouard, of Belmont, NH; daughters, Tammy Dubreuil, of Warner, NH, and Tina Bennett and her husband David, of Medway, MA; four grandchildren, Jonathan Boisselle, Jamie Boisselle, Taylor Bennett, and Connor Bennett; two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ray is predeceased by his son Victor Vaillancourt, his wife Loretta Vaillancourt, and sister Doris Hennessey.
A Calling Hour will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 9:30am-10:30am, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following Calling Hours at 11:00am, at St. Andre Bessette Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
Burial will immediately follow Mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.
