Sharon M. (Warmington) Hurd, 77 of Whitman, Massachusetts, loving mother of Sheila M. Graham, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home after a brief illness on Monday, September 30, 2024. Sharon is now together forever with her late husband Barry Hurd, joining him on their 57th wedding anniversary.
Sharon was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on August 23, 1947, and was the daughter of the late F. Russell and Alice (Gillis) Warmington. She was a graduate of Weymouth High School, class of 1966. She worked as a Sales Representative at Hytex Industries for 40 years. Sharon and Barry purchased their home in Whitman, Massachusetts in 1976. Sharon was a member of the NRA where she was a top participant in the women’s nationals and was proud of her achievements.
Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her adoring grandchildren Julia Rose and Stephen Barry Graham of Hanson. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her daughter, Sheila and her husband, Stephen P. Graham of Hanson.
Sharon is survived by her sisters, Joyce Iacobucci and her husband James of Whitman, Janet Dentino and her husband John of Plympton. She is also survived by her brothers Russell Warmington and his wife Diane of Holbrook, John Warmington and his wife Linda of Hanson, and David Warmington and his wife Gael of Plymouth. Sharon is predeceased by her brother Bernard Warmington. She was a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, and their families as well as many cousins and friends.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 11th at 11:30am in the Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. A procession will leave the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Whitman at 11am to process to the cemetery. Please arrive at the funeral home by 10:45am so funeral home personnel can line up cars for the procession.
