Normand Nadeau, Sr., 87, of Westport passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Rita A. (Mathiew) Nadeau, they were married for 63 years.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Jean B. and Mary J. (Levesque) Nadeau, he was a longtime resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, he worked for the former Sears & Roebuck for many years. Mr. Nadeau enjoyed woodworking, animals and tinkering with electronics, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Including his wife, he is survived by sons: Normand Nadeau, Jr. and his wife Diane of Dartmouth, Dennis Nadeau and his wife Nanette of Westport, John Nadeau and his wife Judy of Marion and Stephen Nadeau and his wife Dawn of Westport; daughters: Theresa Nadeau-Stack of Warwick, RI, Susan Souza and her husband Mark of Westport and the late Linda Nadeau; 14 grandchildren: Kyle, Sarah, Bryan, Samantha, Timmy, Stephanie, McKenzie, Jason, Kira Mae, James, Andrew, Cody, Frankie and Joshua; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 - 8 P.M. at Potter Funeral Home.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
