Helen G. (Jurkevicius) Armstrong, 88, of Bedford, NH died July 30, 2006 at Hackett Hill Healthcare Center, Manchester, NH after a period of failing health.
Born in Haverhill, MA on August 11, 1917, she was the daughter of Ben and Anna (Masys) Jurkevicius. She had lived in the Manchester, NH area for 30 years.
Mrs. Armstrong was a graduate of the Worcester (MA) City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at her husband's medical practice, at Hale Hospital in Haverhill, MA and for the Haverhill School District.
She was married to Dr. Paul E. Armstrong who died in 1995.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes two children, Charles B. Armstrong and his wife Sandy Glansberg-Armstrong of Newton, NH, Kathleen Untiet and her husband Richard of Bedford; four grandchildren, David Untiet, Michael Untiet, Christopher Untiet and Kaitlyn Untiet; two step grandchildren, Sam Koffman and Matt Koffman.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday August 3, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford, NH. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill, MA
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that masses be said in Helen's memory.
