WEBSTER – Dianne L. “Didi” (Hamm) Embair, 70, died Sunday, September 29, 2024 in Harrington Healthcare – Webster after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her husband of 31 years, David W. Embair; 5 sons, Michael Richard and his fiancée Nicole Boucher of North Windham, CT, Wayne Richard and his wife Susan of Dudley, James Richard and his wife Sharon of Spencer, Stephen Richard of Dudley and Brian Richard and his wife Nicole; her mother, Louise M. (Dangredo) Hamm of Webster; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Robert Hamm of Florida, Bruce Hamm of East Brookfield and Kevin Hamm of Putnam, CT; a sister, Joanne Boutillette of Webster; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson William Richard in 2004 and by two sisters, Patty and Charlene.
She was born on April 11, 1954 in Worcester, a daughter of the late William R. Hamm and attended Dougherty High School. She lived in Webster and Worcester all her life.
Mrs. Embair was currently a counter worker at Dunkin Donuts in Spencer.
She enjoyed playing bingo and computer games and occasional visits to the casino. Her family was the center of her life.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, October 4, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. A graveside service will be held privately in Mount Zion Cemetery.
