Ned Day, 82, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Friday, October 4, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Day was born June 19, 1942, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Julian Walter & Annie Lou Weaver Day. He served in the United States Air Force and was a farmer. Mr. Day loved to fish and family get togethers. He was a jokester and very sweet and kind.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gail Day; two sons: Keith Day and Kevin Day and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Julie Day and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Day; two brothers: Gerald Day and Terry Day; a sister-in law, Reba Day and a daughter-in law Marcy Day.
