Robert E. Duncan Jr., age 57, of Brockton, passed away on September 22, 2024, at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital.
Robert was born 4/18/67 in Marion, Indiana, to the proud parents Robert E. Duncan Sr. of Indiana and Barbara A. (Sutter) Pedro of Newport, RI.
Robert received his GED shortly after high school and enlisted in the United States Army proudly serving his country, where he acquired his love of cooking.
Bobby endured a lot of personal demons throughout his first 42 years of his life but overcame them and spent the last fifteen years helping others in similar circumstances to take pride in themselves and find a path back to happiness and love.
He was a man with a big heart. He appointed himself as guardian of his family and friends reaching out with love and protection to those he cherished and loved. He stayed strong and determined to turn his life around.
An avid collector of coins and baseball cards, he was also very fond of his grandnieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he leaves his two sisters, Tamra Lynn Carvalho of Dartmouth and Kelley Suzanne Connors of Somerset; a good friend Scott Landry who was like a brother he never had; three nieces, Katelynn Elizabeth Brockett, Samantha Lynn Silva, and Savannah Jo Silva; his grandnieces and grandnephews, Mercedes, Madison, Blake, Dominic, and Aaliyah.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 1:15 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of his funeral service.
