CHICOPEE – Charlotte D. (Tetreault) LaFleur, 100, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Lifecare Center of Wilbraham surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home on Broadway in Chicopee Falls on March 29, 1924, a beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Perreault) Tetreault. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated in 1941 from Chicopee High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a sales clerk for many years at the former Balakier’s Clothier Store in Downtown Chicopee and the former W.T. Grants in Fairview. Active in her Catholic faith, she was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. She will always be remembered for her baking and her beautiful crocheting projects. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate, Albert H. LaFleur who was Called Home on September 6, 2002. They were married on October 12, 1946 at Saint George Church in Chicopee Falls and they were blessed with over 55 years of happiness together. She leaves her three loving and devoted children, Thomas A. LaFleur and his wife, Laurel, of Palmer, Jacqueline E. “Jackie” Duquette and her husband, Charles, of Indian Orchard, and Francis E. LaFleur and his wife, JoAnn, of Ludlow; her nine cherished grandchildren; her thirteen cherished great grandchildren; her two cherished great great grandchildren; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Janine M. LaFleur who was Called Home on October 23, 1969; her beloved son, Arthur R. LaFleur November 8, 2022; and her two dear sisters, Irene Bateman and her husband, Harold, and Jeannette Holt and her husband, Thomas. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to her Mass.
