Giuseppe Picciocchi, of Medford, died Friday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 81.
Born and raised in Baiano, Avellino, Italy, he was the son of the late Michelo and the late Maria (Carmene) Picciocchi. He came to the United States over 50 years ago. He and his family lived in Cambridge, before settling in Medford in 1960. He worked many years with Wilson Foods, until their closing. He later served as the sexton at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Medford, until his retirement.
He was the beloved husband of Rosa (Cavaliere) Picciocchi. He was a devoted father to Lena O'Connell and her husband Bill of Quincy and Michael Picciocchi of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Billy and Joseph. He was the brother of Stefano and Giuseppina of Italy and the late Concetta.
A Funeral Mass will be offered, Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Clement Church, Somerville – Medford. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends may call Monday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
