Barbara (Sargent) May, age 88, of Brockton, died peacefully on September 23, 2024 at Baypointe Rehabilitation Center. Raised and educated in Randolph, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Schleiger) Sargent and was married to the late Carroll A. May Jr. for 36 years.
Barbara was a loving and kind mother who was devoted to raising and caring for her six children. She had a passion for baking, taking long walks, reading romance novels and giving generous gifts.
Barbara was mother of Barbara Mouchayleh and her husband Jamil of Chelmsford, Carl May and his wife Joanne of Stoughton, Ronnie May and his wife Christine of West Bridgewater and the late William May, Danny May and Robert May, Sr. She was the grandmother of 13, great grandmother of 22 and mother-in-law of Doris May of West Bridgewater.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Monday, September 30 from 4-7pm. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10am in the funeral home, followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery.
