Catherine L. “Kay” (Fiasconaro) Spatola, age 94, of Brockton, died on September 24, 2024 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center surrounded by her children. She was the devoted wife of the late John S. Spatola for 70 years. Born and raised in South Boston, she was a daughter of the late Natale and Santa (Alibrandi) Fiasconaro. She had lived in Brockton since 1954.
Kay provided a loving home for their nine children. She loved reading and cooking for her family and spending quality time with them all. Kay will be remembered as being a generous, kind, loving and caring person who brought joy to all who knew her. Time spent with her family gave her the most enjoyment in life.
Kay was the mother of Susan and Kevin Wachter of Colorado, Cathy and Steve Cambra of Middleboro, John and Marianne Spatola of Florida, Paul and Kim Spatola of Abington, Tim and Jean Spatola of N. Carolina, Denise and Glen White of Marstons Mills, Mark and Kristin Spatola of Raynham, Michael and Cassie Spatola of Brockton and the late Tina Spatola. She was the sister of Celeste Prioli of Cape Coral, FL; Mary Olivieri of Everett and the late Mario, Joe, Vinny, Paul and Benny Fiasconaro. She was the grandmother of Luke, David, Timothy, Samantha, Christina, Eric, Holly, Ben, Nicholas, Steven, Brad, Jack, Michael, Danny, Jeffery, Kyle and Katie and great grandmother of eight. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Sunday, September 29 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11am followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery.
