Mrs. Stanislawa (Mocarska) Konopka, beloved Mother and Babcia, 89, of Worcester sadly passed away on September 21, 2024 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Stanislawa was born on August 4, 1935 in Katy, Poland, the daughter of the late Aleksander and Franciszka Mocarski. Stanislawa lived most of her life in Poland before immigrating to the United States in 1985. She was the wife of the late Boleslaw Konopka. Stanislawa was employed for over 30 years at Ameripride. Stanislawa was a parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, where she enjoyed spending her free time and was a member of that Parish’s Rosary Circle. Stanislawa enjoyed reading, praying, and spending time with her family who will deeply miss her.
She is survived by two sons, Andrzej Konopka, and Czeslaw Konopka and his wife Ewa Burbula both of Worcester, and one daughter, Alina Mieczkowska of Poland. Stanislawa leaves five grandchildren, Anna Konopka, Marek Konopka, Agnieszka Mieczkowska, Krzysztof Mieczkowski, and Justyna Mieczkowska, and two great grandchildren Artur and Lilly. She also leaves her sister Janina of Poland.
Stanislawa was also the mother of the late Mieczyslaw Konopka of Poland, who predeceased her in 2021.
A calling hour will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street. A funeral, with a Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street.
