It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn M. (Lizotte) Leduc, 81, on September 18, 2024, of Newport NH. Carolyn was born on December 17, 1942, in Springfield, MA to Edward Lizotte and Laura “Annabelle” (Poisson) LaBranche.
Carolyn met the love of her life, best friend, and husband Richard Leduc Sr. and married on July 22, 1961. Carolyn was known for her big heart, always lending a helping hand, and being there for others. Carolyn and Richard enjoyed home improvement projects, scenic trips, listening to oldies, particularly Neil Diamond, playing 45’s, family gatherings, spending time with friends, especially Doris and Henry and time at their home. Carolyn had an especially close relationship with her sister Shirley often talking with her daily as well as enjoying sharing trips to shows and doing quilting projects together.
Carolyn also enjoyed quilting, gardening, puzzles, baking, going to the beach, photography and spending time with family, friends and her cats. She also enjoyed volunteering at many school events for her children. Carolyn’s main purpose in life was to care for her husband and children but she also worked at the Post Office, in the paint department at Sear’s and in purchasing for several high tech companies.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was also pre-deceased by her husband Richard Leduc Sr., daughter; Linda Cassettari, sister; Sandra Lizotte, and two brothers; Robert and Thomas LaBranche. She is survived by three daughters; Nancy Leduc and her husband Michael Schloss of Windham, NH, Debra Leduc of Lawrence, Anne Marie Leduc of Portsmouth, NH, two sons; Richard Leduc Jr and his wife Lisa of Methuen, Kristopher Leduc of Lawrence. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Carolyn and her husband Joseph Pecoraro, Mackenzie and her husband Kevin Abisalih, Nicholas Leduc, and Locke Schloss in addition to three great grandchildren; Matthew Alicata, Brodie Dube, and Sydney Abisalih. She also leaves five siblings: Shirley and her husband Bruce Larochelle of Rumney, NH, Theresa Hersey and her husband William Martin of Salem, NH, and Cheryl Gatzen of Bristol, CT. two brothers: Michael LaBranche of Hampstead, NH, and John Labranche and his wife Ann of Nashua, NH. There are many nieces, nephews, and cousins including her cousin Steve Beach who was like a brother to her.
