Eleanor June Higson (92) of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 peacefully at Clifton Rehabilitation Center, Somerset. She was the wife of the late William B Higson.
Born and raised in Fall River, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Florence L.(Borden)Austin.
She was a graduate of Durfee High school and later joined her husband in the family business.
She is survived by daughters Joyce Sarro, husband Paul and Jane Gomes, husband Michael and sons Bradford Higson, wife Michelle and Christopher Higson, wife Susan and thirty seven grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Austin, Florence McClellan, MaryJane Gilchrist and Ruth Cifizzari.
She loved being active in her church activities. She enjoyed the time she spent interacting with the customers at Higson’s seafood. She and her husband loved taking cruises. Most of all she loved her big family.
Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 01, 2024 at 10 AM at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church located at 1335 N Main Street, Fall River. Interment will be private.
