Edward J. Driscoll, age 84, of Medford passed away on Tuesday, September 24th, after a courageous battle. Born in Cambridge, he was raised and educated in Somerville, the son of the late Edward J. and Agnes (Gee) Driscoll. He will truly be missed by his beloved wife Madeline (Travaglia) with whom he would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on October 11th.
Edward proudly served in the Army from 1963 to 1966, after which he was employed as a truck driver. Edward lived in Medford for over 40 years and was a long-time member of the American Legion.
Edward was the dear brother of Kathy Crider and the late Robert Driscoll, and brother-in-law of the late Carole and Joseph E. Burke and the late Helen Meuse. He was the loving uncle of Kevin Crider, Christine Healey, Susan Marden and her husband Timothy, and the great uncle of Daniel Healey and Jonathan Marden. He is also survived by many more nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Edward’s family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, October 3rd from 11 AM through 1 PM, followed by a service in the funeral home at 1 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
