Kin Sang Leung, age 66, passed away on Saturday, September 7th, 2024. He was a devoted father to Vivian, Jennifer, and Harrison Leung, and a beloved brother to Chuck, Sam, Judy, and Nancy Leung. Kin immigrated from China in pursuit of the American dream and became a proud citizen of the United States of America. He began his journey by waiting tables at a family-owned restaurant in Texas for many years. Eventually, he moved to Massachusetts to pursue a business partnership with his brother-in-law, Jason, working in window and door installation, with a bit of carpentry on the side.
Over time, Kin found stability in his life, with a good career and financial security. However, he felt that what was missing was a family. Kin later met the mother of his children, Hong Le, and had his first son, Harrison Leung, at the age of 40. Less than a year later, his first daughter, Jennifer Leung, was born, followed by their second daughter, Vivian Leung, five years later. From 1998 onward, Kin devoted 26 years of his life to caring for his children. He never spoke much about personal hobbies, never mentioned a favorite color, and never asked for much from his children, except the comfort of knowing that they were growing strong against life’s challenges. Kin was remembered by many as a kind and loving father, always present for his kids.
He left an impression on everyone he met as someone who was always smiling and laughing, with an optimistic outlook and a lighthearted approach to life. Those around him knew him as friendly, kind, and giving—a loving father, a "cool" uncle, or even a "butterfly," as his siblings affectionately called him for his adventurous spirit. You might find him one morning banging on the rooftop as one of his recent house projects. While 66 years cannot be summed up in a few paragraphs, Kin lived a life full of rich stories and meaningful experiences. He will forever be honored and loved by his children, family, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 from 12 to 2pm. Interment services will be private.
