Obituary

MEREDITH ---- Raymond “Ray” Walter (Chuck) Derrick, 79, of Livingston Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 19, 2024 with complications from a lengthy time of Parkinson’s Disease.

Ray was born on November 5, 1944, at Laconia Hospital to Raymond William Derrick and Louise (Turcotte) Derrick.

Ray enjoyed music. It was a passion. He played guitar and keyboard. He wrote songs as a testament to the Lord. He loved singing to the Lord. He also enjoyed photography. He took pictures of family, flowers and wildlife (especially deer).

He retired from Lakes Region General Hospital after 43 years, many of which were as a Cook Supervisor. He still continued his cooking, especially making muffins and coffee cake, even as his Parkinson's progressed.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Deborah (Dow) Derrick; son Daniel Derrick; sisters, Virginia (Derrick) Bombard, Sharon Derrick, Gina (Derrick) Langlitz and her husband Skip, Cheryl (Derrick) Hayes and her husband Jim; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and his brothers Bill and Jerry Derrick.

A Calling Hour will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 26, at 11:00 also at the funeral home.

A Graveside Service will follow the funeral service at Oakland Cemetery, Meredith, NH.
