Amoy ST (Bernard) Scott, age 96, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies on April 6, 1928, she was a loving daughter of the late Reginald and Gladys (Etienne) Bernard.
Amoy grew up and was educated in Trinidad. In 1988 she moved to the United States, first settling in Boston. For the past twenty-three years, she happily made her home in Mansfield.
A dedicated homemaker and matriarch to her adoring family, Amoy was actively involved as a member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield. She was a sweet, loving and kind woman who deeply loved her family and always kept others in her prayers. She was a worldwide traveler, will always be remembered for her outstanding cooking skills and looked forward to celebrating the holidays, especially Christmas.
She is survived by her devoted children, Suzanne H. Francette of Cumberland, Rhode Island and her former husband Keith Francette of West Virginia, Carole J. Clarke and her husband Trevor of South Attleboro, Michael D. Scott and his wife Eunice of Bourne, the late Walter H. Scott, who is survived by his wife Felicia Scott of Brockton and the late Rennie Crawford. She was the cherished grandmother of Stephen Scott, Keegan Scott and his wife Valerie, Kashif Scott, Immanuel Clarke, Miracle Francette, Joshua Clarke, Amoy Scott and twins Aldric Scott and Abigail Scott. She was the treasured great grandmother of Salem Scott, Micah Scott and Samara Scott. She was the dear sister of Elizabeth Bernard of Mansfield, Phillipa Sylvester and her husband Lennox of Trinidad and Lloyd Bernard of Trinidad. She was the former wife of the late Norman Crawford and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives in the DC Metro area.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 52 North Main Street in Mansfield. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
Visitation will be held prior to the services on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church.
