Obituary

Lucille T. (Marchand) Tondreau, of Salem, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on August 31, 2024. She was predeceased by her loving husband Normand J. Tondreau, with whom she had shared 71 years of marriage.
Born in Salem MA, on February 16,1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. Marchand and Pauline (Freeto) Marchand. She was employed as a technician for EG&G of Salem. Following her retirement, the couple moved to Seabrook, NH and returned to Salem in 2014. Lucille was devoted to her husband and her family. She loved bowling, bingo, dancing and playing cards. She was also a member of Ste. Anne Parish, Salem for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Pauline M. LaBonte and her husband Ronald of Beverly and Anne Marie Fratangelo and her husband Joseph of Salem, two sons, Robert Tondreau and his partner Rochelle LeBlanc of Salem, MA, and Thomas N. Tondreau and his wife Donna of Penacook, NH. She leaves seven grandchildren, Kimberly Labonte Kay, Dawn Kerkman and husband Randy, Matthew Tondreau and wife Jennifer, Amy Houlihan and husband John, Jill Fratangelo and partner Joseph Camora, Jennifer DePiano and husband David, and Jason Tondreau; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren, Bailey, Keenan, Bryce, Griffin, Nick, Ellie, Justin, Callie, Jack, Nicholas, Michael, Declan and Claire and one great great-grandchild, Nathanial. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by nine sisters and one brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem, MA on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Her family will be receiving guests in church one hour prior to her Mass. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimensions75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
