Obituary

Alisha Carrion, 38, of Worcester, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 17th at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She leaves her two daughters, Jayliany Rivera of Worcester and Arielys Kasparian of Shrewsbury; her mother, Nydia Santiago of Worcester; her stepfather, Victor Gonzalez of Worcester; her grandmother, Felicita Ortiz Medina of Cayey, Puerto Rico; a sister, Natalie Reid and her husband, Andrew of Ohio; two brothers, Hernan Pacheco, III of Worcester and Anthony Gonzalez of New York; her nieces and nephews, Ermiah, Elianna, Hernan VI and Kyiri; her beloved dog princess and her pet dragon, Izlo.

She was born in the Bronx, NY, where her vibrant spirit and warm heart began to flourish. As a substance abuse counselor, she dedicated herself to helping others find their path to recovery, and later, as an ABA therapist, she found her true calling—working with children and making a lasting impact in their lives. Known for her infectious laughter and magnetic personality, she was the life of every party, lighting up the room with her wonderful sense of humor and genuine kindness. Music was her passion, and whether she was dancing or simply enjoying a song, she brought a joyful energy that was impossible to resist. Her love for all things “girly” reflected her playful spirit—she embraced everything from colorful fashion to heartfelt conversations about life and love. Most importantly, she cherished her family above all else, creating beautiful memories and nurturing bonds that would last a lifetime. Her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience continues to inspire everyone who was lucky enough to know her.

Her calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 26th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Her funeral Mass will be on Friday, September 27th beginning at 10:00am in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
