Chicopee – Edward R. DeJordy, age 92, passed away on Sept. 18, 2024 at the Renaissance Manor in Holyoke. He was born on June 27, 1932 in Chicopee, son of the late Oliver A. DeJordy and Olive (St. Andre) DeJordy. Edward was a communicant of St Rose de Lima Parish. He served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He later worked as a quality controller and designer for Standex Corporation for many years before he retired. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Elder Council #69. He is predeceased by his wife Gloria Y. (Gosselin) DeJordy who passed away in 2016, two brothers, Leo and Ernest DeJordy and two sisters, Claire Roy and Theresa Boutette. He is survived by one son, Thomas DeJordy and his wife Donna of Chicopee; one daughter Victoria Cassidy and her husband Steven of Agawam; three grandchildren, John, Kelly and Allison along with five beloved great grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends who will miss him. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Friday, September, 27, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Mass in St Rose de Lima Church at 11:00 AM.
