LACONIA --- William F. O’Brien, also known by many as Bill, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024, with his family by his side after his difficult battle with brain cancer.
William was born on January 7, 1963, in Wilmington, MA, the son of the late Francis and Lois O’Brien.
Bill moved from Massachusetts to Ossipee, NH, with his family in 1992. He grew up visiting the White Mountains and wanted to raise his family in a place he loved and enjoyed so dearly. Bill loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, and off roading in his truck. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places and making new friends everywhere he went. Bill had a passion for working with his hands in his garage. He could often be found fiber glassing a boat, working on cars and trucks, or hanging out with friends listening to music and talking on his CB Radio where he was known as Wild Bill. Bill coached many years for his children’s baseball teams, and could be found at all their sporting events cheering them on the loudest, he truly was their biggest supporter. Bill was an animal lover and throughout his life rescued many animals, but he had a special place in his heart for his dogs.
Bill is predeceased by his mother, Lois O’Brien, and father, Francis O’Brien. He is survived by his children; Katlin Connor (O’Brien) and her husband Brandon Connor and Sean O’Brien and his wife Abigail O’Brien; along with his 13 grandchildren who he loved so dearly, Addison Sims, Everett Connor, Elizabeth Connor, Elliot Connor, Michael O’Brien, Jacob O’Brien, Declan O’Brien, Paisley O’Brien, Autumn Broza, Savanna Broza, Hannah Broza, Joseph Broza and Annabelle Broza. William is also survived by his ex-wife Joni O’Brien.
The family will hold a private memorial.
