Corrie R. Hall Jameson

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Corrie R. Hall Jameson on September 15, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on January 25, 1936, in Harlem, Georgia, Corrie was the beloved daughter of Amanda Davis Hall and Robert James Hall. In 1941, Corrie and her family moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where they settled in Lower Roxbury, a community she cherished and where she built a rich, meaningful life.
Corrie dedicated her early years to working as a preschool teacher and a cosmetologist, positively impacting many lives. However, her true passion was her work as a community activist, where she tirelessly advocated for social justice and the betterment of her neighborhood. Her lifelong dedication to service leaves a lasting legacy in her community.
Corrie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dorothea M. Elaine Hall-Corbin.
She was predeceased by her parents, Amanda D. Hall and Robert J. Hall, her daughters, Amanda L. Hall and Talitha Hall, and her grandsons, Robert C.J. Hall and Paul Hall.
Among those who carry on her legacy are her grandchildren Tamu Jackson, Kimberly Hall-Auston, Milton (Shatoya) Corbin, and her great-grandchildren: Hasan Reid, Stephen Pryor, Joshua Gay, Christian Bowen, Kaiden Corbin, and Mia Corbin. Corrie’s influence and love will continue to shape the lives of her family for generations to come.
Her dearest friend, Mary Clemons, and many others touched by Corrie’s kindness and activism will miss her deeply. Known for her strength, dedication, and commitment to unity, Corrie worked tirelessly to uplift those around her and positively impacted the lives of many.

Family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of her remarkable life. Though she is no longer with us, Corrie R. Hall Jameson’s spirit, legacy of compassion, dedication, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
