Obituary

Keith Edward Kneeland formerly of Walpole passed away on September 16, 2024. Beloved son of Patricia Shaughnessy Sybertz and Walter Sybertz of Millis and Lawrence and Susan Kneeland of Plainville. Brother of Lawrence Kneeland of North Attleboro. Step-brother of Walter and Jennifer Sybertz of Dedham and Courtney Sybertz McCathy and Rich McCarthy of Millis. Loving uncle to Corey, Brett, and Savannah Kneeland, Dean Sybertz, and angel Bryce, Lyla, (goddaughter Saylor), and Jayce McCarthy.

Keith grew up in Walpole and loved every minute of his childhood there. He loved sports and excelled at soccer. A lover of music and bands; Grateful Dead, Phish and Dave Matthews to name a few. Graduated from Walpole High School and went on to the U.S. Navy. Keith spent some time living on Cape Cod in the summers landscaping for Sears Landscaping and later in life found himself on Key West where spent over 20 years. He met some of his many life-long friends. He worked as an outstanding bartender and was twice nominated honorary mayor of Key West. Keith passed surrounded by loved ones.

A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Friday, September 20 from 8:00-10:00am followed by a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. A reception will follow at the Dedham American Legion.
