Rita J. Pincince, 89, of Southwest Avenue, Jamestown, formerly of Scenery Lane in Johnston, passed away on Monday September 9th surrounded by her family in the Roberts’ Health Care Center, North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Pincince. They had been married for 65 years.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Arthur and Rose Demers. She had lived in Jamestown and had previously lived in Johnston. Rita had been a textile mender with Worcester Textile Co., before retiring in the year 2000.
She loved seafood, playing cards, bingo, and volunteering at the Woonsocket Senior Center.
She leaves her son, Dennis Pincince and his wife Linda of Jamestown. She was the grandmother of Anthony Pincince and his wife Tallia and Haley Pincince. She was the great-grandmother of Logan and Estelle. She was the sister of Rene Demers of North Smithfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday September 24th at 10am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Her burial will be private, and visitation respectfully omitted.
