Patricia “Patty” M. (Robinson) Allen, of Billerica, formerly of Medford and Somerville, passed away August 26, 2024.
She was born in Medford in 1956 to the late James and Mary (Canty) Robinson. Patty graduated from Saint Clement High School where she made lifelong friends.
Beloved mother to Kelly Allen and the late Michael Allen, both of Medford. Proud Nana to Bobby Norton. Dear life partner of Gary Della Paolera with whom she shared 35 wonderful years. Cherished sister of Peggy Dwyer and her husband Jackie. Dear Aunt to Maureen Vigeant, Kevin Dwyer, Katie Porter, Courtney Dwyer and Danny Dwyer.
Patty was blessed with a loving extended family of special cousins Lorraine Dunnett, Steve Layton, Kenny Layton, John Layton, the late Joseph Canty and the late Michael Canty. Patty is survived by numerous other cousins, aunts and uncles who will miss her dearly.
Patty cherished moments spent with her family. She especially loved their trips to Nahant, Buzzards Bay and Old Orchard Beach, where lasting memories were created together.
Patty had a generous heart and always put the needs of others before her own. Her love and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and she will forever be remembered for the compassion she shared.
A Mass in celebration of Patty’s life will be held at Saint Clement Church on September 25 at 11AM. Following the service, a Celebration of Life luncheon will take place at the Medford Elks, 19 Washington Street, Medford.
