Marjorie K. “Midge” James a lifelong Newton resident died on Friday July 28th at the Chetwynde Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newton. She was 88 years old. Born in Newton, Miss James was a graduate of Pierce Secretarial School in Boston. She spent her entire working career with the Boston Gas Company in Newton. She retired from Boston Gas as a supervisor. The daughter of the late Robert H. and Katherine (Purcell) James, “Midge” was the loving sister of Barbara P. James and the late John K. “Jack” James and Anna James. A visiting hour will be held in the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Tuesday Aug 1st from 9:30-10:30 Am followed by a graveside service at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline at 11:00 AM.
