David L. Rossetti, a current resident of Barefoot Bay, Florida passed away
unexpectedly on September 14, 2024 just a little over a month past his 74th
birthday.David was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to Julian Rossetti and P. Louise
(DeStratis) Rossetti. Dave was a curious child who loved to roam around his
neighborhood with his friends, and at the age of five developed his skill and love
of the drums and music.
He was educated at Woodland Preparatory School in Worcester and Worcester
Vocational Technical School where he studied plumbing. While in school he
worked as a sexton at Trinity Lutheran Church. He then went on to work for
Norton Company and Braman Chemical in Worcester where he acquired the
knowledge to branch out and start his own business. Dave owned and operated
Atech Pest Elimination Services in both Massachusetts and Connecticut for over
38 years, retiring in 2019.
Dave loved life. He took immense pride in his homes and would spend hours
working on the landscaping and lawn, always having a project. In his spare time
he would cruise around Webster Lake with his wife Jeanne on his pontoon boat
and visit with a huge network of friends and family. Dave was a founding
member of the Webster Lake Association.
Dave loved music of all kinds. He was a talented drummer and played Open Mic
nights at Point Breeze and in Florida with the Barefoot Bay Open Mic club. And
boy, could he sing. He had a beautiful voice that was suited to the standards as
well as some rock and roll. He was a regular at different karaoke venues where
he entertained folks with his great singing.
In addition to his wife of almost 47 years, Jeanne, he leaves 3 brothers, James
Rossetti and his wife Jane of Millbury, Massachusetts and Naples, Florida,
William Rossetti and his wife Linda of Palmetto,Florida, Steven Rossetti and his
wife Lisa of Florence, Massachusetts, many nieces and nephews and their
families. Dave was preceded in death by his parents Julian Rossetti and P.
Louise Rossetti and his sister and brother-in-law Judith Catullo and Ugo Catullo
of Worcester, Massachusetts.
A service will be held on September 28, 2024 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300
Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA, with a 10:00 a.m. visitation and a 10:30 a.m. service.
This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at Point Breeze Restaurant, Webster, MA.
