Obituary

WELLS- Leonard Domenic Mannino, SR of Wells, Maine and formerly of Milford, NH , 89 years old, passed away on September 16th 2024 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
Leonard was born at home on March 27th, 1935 to Santo and Sebastiana ( Annie) Mannino.
He attended public school in Milford ,NH and graduated from high school in 1953. He then attended the University of New Hampshire, where he enrolled in the Army ROTC program and got a bachelor’s degree majoring in accounting.
After graduation from UNH in 1957, he served in the army as a Second Lieutenant and in September of 1957 he served in Fort Devens.MA in the Army Security Agency. He was then stationed in Korea from February 1958 to March of 1959. After returning to Fort Devens he was honorably discharged in September of 1959 as a 1St Lieutenant.
He worked as an accountant after his military service at Sanders Corporation in Nashua, NH, and as a buyer in General Merchandise at Grand Union in Manchester NH. He then worked at New England College in Henniker, NH . He also worked in accounts at the Milford CoOp Bank in Milford, NH and was a controller at Gar Doc,INC and Technical Graphics in Milford NH. He also was a licensed realtor, first in NH and then in Maine where he won Total Awards AGC as Sales Associate of ERA Real Estate in 2006.
He enjoyed large family gatherings and reminiscing .
He was predeceased in death by his parents, Santo and Sebastiana ( Annie ) Mannino, His sister, Rose Draper and her husband , George Draper, his sister, Anne Zahn and her husband, Charles ( Bud ) Zahn, his brother, Vincent Mannino, his first wife, Nancy Newman , and his second wife, Andrea Fulgoni Mannino.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Spaulding Mannino, and his beloved dog, Zena and daughter, Tracy Mannino Carter, Stepdaughter, Erin Kelley Stewart and her husband Ed Stewart, Sons, Michael Mannino, Leonard Mannino Jr and his wife Kimberley, James Mannino, John Mannino and his wife Meaghan, and stepson, Ryan Kelley and his wife, Amanda, Beverly Spaulding, his wife’s mother, and Duane Spaulding, his wife’s brother and many nieces and nephews.
He was the proud grandfather of Brittanni, Cicely, Lucia, and Guilia Mannino and Mallory Carter VanGyzen, Allyssa Carter Benefield, Bryce Carter, Paige Kelley, Charlotte Kelley, Whitney Kelley, Lauren Stewart, and Allison Stewart.
He was also the proud great grandfather of Tara, Zachary, and Tucker VanGyzen and Harper, Holly, Hailey, and Hannah Benefield.
He loved dogs and in lieu of flowers please donate to your nearest animal shelter in his name.
