Stephen Anthony Brennan of Dorchester, formerly of Roslindale and a graduate of West Roxbury High School class of 1983, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2024 at the age of 60. Father of Krystal (Neale) Hayden of Scituate. Brother of Sharon Brennan of Roslindale and Shawn Brennan of Westwood. Grandfather of Dorothy and Marilyn Hayden. He is also survived by many cousins throughout the New England area. He is predeceased by his parents Angelina (Pennachio) Brennan and Richard Brennan. Also included as family would be Stephen's friends and neighbors at Brookledge Street who held a special place in his life.
While retired for several years, in his younger days Stephen worked as a mechanical inspector and could frequently be found engaged in carpentry projects. He enjoyed music and loved to cook, often recreating old family recipes for his friends. Known for his sharp humor and distinct laugh, Stephen was the life of any party any host dared invite him to attend. A rebel by nature, Stephen pushed boundaries and paved his own way. His family acknowledges that life will likely be much more mundane, lacking in the wild twists and turns Stephen often threw their way. Stephen will live on in the vast catalog of unbelievable stories he left behind. A character to say the least, sometimes villain, sometimes hero - always enthusiastically himself.
In accordance with Stephen's wishes, no conventional services will be held, however, close family will lay him to rest in a beloved destination where he made many happy memories.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Stephen A. Brennan to New England Center and Home for Veterans at 17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108.
