Rosalie Pimentel of Acushnet, left us far too soon on September 10, 2024, at the age of 64, after a valiant battle with cancer. Rosalie was the loving mother to two wonderful sons who were her whole world, Anthony and Adrien Acosta. She raised her boys with such care and wisdom that they grew up to be fine men. Rosalie never gave up when the road was difficult or long and always made the impossible happen for Anthony and Adrien.
Rosalie was the daughter of the late Jose D. Pimentel and Patricia C. (Jones) Pimentel of Dartmouth, and aunt to the late Emily Pimentel. In addition to her role as the cherished mother to Anthony and Adrien, Rosalie was a daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend.
Rosalie’s humor, often in the form of societal criticism made her a beloved fixture in the lives of those around her. The neighborhood aunt and mother, she always had an open door and a home full of love for family and Adrien and Anthony’s friends.
In addition to her role as the cherished mother to Anthony and Adrien, Rosalie was a daughter, sister, and dear friend. Including her two wonderful sons, Adrien and Anthony and his partner Sarah Mello, Rosalie is survived by her mother, Patricia C. (Jones) Pimentel of Dartmouth, her sister Cathy and husband Gary Nichols and their sons Garrison and Thomas, brother Daniel and Coleen Pimentel and their daughters Elizabeth and the Late Emily Pimentel, sister Julie Pimentel and her daughter Georgianna Erickson, brother James Pimentel, Jose Pimentel and his sons, Lloyd and Matthew Pimentel, and chosen family, Sharon Ferreira and her two sons, Roger and Dylan Hart.
Rosalie was always there when you needed someone, had a quick wit, and an unrelenting advocate for sons in the face of adversity. She joins her father and niece along with chosen family, Shirley Ferreria and Cy Medeiros. Rosalie leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love and she will be deeply missed but forever remembered with the love she gave and the happiness she provided.
