Ruth M. Albin-Jones, 72, of Derry, NH, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, in Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH. She was born on November 5, 1951, in Tipton, MO, a daughter of the late John and Edna (Miller) Albin. Ruth had been a resident of Derry for the past 35 years, formerly living in Tipton, MO.
Ruth loved animals, cooking, especially baking cookies for our first responders, gardening, cross-stitch, and attending church. Ruth previously worked for Stride Rite in Tipton, MO as well as Sonshine Preschool and Daycare in Derry, NH. Ruth always put others before herself, checking on everyone to make sure she would be able to help when needed.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Robert Jones of Derry, and her cat Missy; her brothers James Albin of Tipton, MO, Donald Albin of Tipton, MO, Dale Albin of Jefferson City, MO, and Lee Albin of Fulton, MO; her sister Betty Sauer of Collinsville, IL; her stepson Robert Jones and his wife Barbara of Derry, NH; her grandchildren Samantha and Nicholas Jones of Derry, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Judy Wilson of Versailles, MO.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in Trinity Assembly of God Church, 53 N. Main Street, Derry, NH. The burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, East Derry, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sonshine Preschool & Daycare, Derry, NH.
