Patrick "Pat" Folan, age 63, of Quincy, formerly of Dunsany, Co. Meath, Ireland, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2024. Pat was the beloved son of Teresa (Conroy) Folan and the late Patrick Folan of Dunsany, Co. Meath, Ireland.
He is survived by his loving sisters: Mary Ann Egan and her husband Mike of New York; Una Lavin and her husband Peter of Quincy; and Kate Cullen and her husband Mick of Dunsany, Co. Meath. Pat was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews, Rory, Caoimhe, Aine, and Lorcan Lavin.
Pat emigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1994 after spending a few years in Germany. Some of his talents and interests included following car rallies in Ireland and playing pool which he excelled at, winning numerous trophies over the years. Pat was also an excellent cook, sharing his love for food with family and friends during the holidays and family parties. He was an avid golf and soccer follower. Pat was also a proud member of the Laborers Union Local 223.
Visiting Hours will be held at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, on Tuesday, September 17th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
