Born in Worcester, the son of Gerard L. Jolicoeur and Mary (Riopel) Paul and her husband, Ernest Paul, Jr. and graduated from David Prouty High School. Richard proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
After his service, Richard dedicated over 30 years of his life working at Whittier Creamery in Shrewsbury, where he was known for his hard work and strong work ethic. He was also a proud member of the Tatnuck Post, where he built lifelong friendships and connections with fellow veterans.
In his free time, Richard loved camping, playing horseshoes, and challenging friends and family to a game of darts. He had a kind and generous heart, always putting others before himself. Family was at the core of Richard’s life, and he cherished every moment spent at family gatherings. His greatest joy, however, was the time he spent with his beloved wife, Jeanne, with whom he shared many beautiful memories.
Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
His visitation will be held on Monday, September 16th from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester, Massachusetts.
