Theresa (Terry) Marguerite (Samson) Boissonneault, 94, of Hooksett died September 8, 2024, at home following a period of declining health.
Born on November 10, 1929, Terry was the daughter of Alcide and Laurette (Gagne) Samson. She grew up in Manchester and attended St George’s High School. She met her husband, Roger, growing up on the West Side of Manchester and they married on April 23, 1951. They resided in Manchester, NYC, Goffstown, and finally Hooksett.
Terry worked for the telephone company in Boston, owned and ran Terry’s Gift Shop in Manchester, and worked with Roger for almost 50 years in his accounting business. She worked into her 80’s.
Terry loved to dance. Her hobbies were making ceramic figurines, playing cards, and traveling. She and Roger traveled extensively to the Greek islands, the Caribbean, Europe, Canada and throughout the U.S. Terry usually planned her next vacation while on her current one!
Terry also enjoyed her extra dry Beefeater martinis and margaritas, and loved cooking, especially making her famous cipate, which was a French-Canadian dish that most French-Canadians had never heard of.
Terry was predeceased by her parents, her husband Roger in 2018, and her two brothers Gerard and Fernand Samson. She is survived by her son Ron Boissonneault and his wife Sue of Manchester, son Dennis Boissonneault of Las Vegas, her daughter Elaine Boissonneault and her husband Gary Van Campen of Hooksett, daughter Donna Moody and her husband Jim of Hooksett. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Ross Boissonneault of Nashua, Tara Boissonneault of Las Vegas, and Jason and Brannon Van Campen, both of Texas, five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Sept 22, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St, Manchester.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday Sept 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St, Manchester NH. Burial will follow in Mt Cavalry Cemetery.
