Ella Faye Morrow Payne, 87, of Sylvester passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Josh Bennett officiating. Mrs. Payne will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Josh Molina, Kristopher Molina, Travis Hanson, Jorge Patino, Jeremy Molina, Jose Molina, Cole Murray and Richard Hanson will serve as pallbearers.
Born March 28, 1937, in Ritner, Kentucky, Mrs. Payne was the daughter of the late Roscoe Morrow and Velma Smith Morrow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Hugh Payne; one daughter, Judy Hanson Faiola; one son, Jerry Hanson; three brothers; three sisters; and one great-grandchild. Before retiring, she was a machine operator with Shaw Industries in Tifton.
Mrs. Payne is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Tammie Hanson of Longview, Texas, two daughters and one son-in-law, Elizabeth Hanson of Sylvester and Lahoma and Tony Harper of Moultrie; five brothers; three sisters; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
