Mary Lou Biggs, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Pastor Vic Boney and Pastor Randy Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with Pastor C.A. Hulett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Biggs was born October 16, 1953, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late J.W. & Ola Murray Register. She was a 1973 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She worked at Fitzgerald Underwear and in housekeeping for Dorminy Medical Center and Pioneer Housing. An avid animal lover, Ms. Biggs adopted many stray cats and will be greatly missed by her chihuahua, Snowbelle. She attended Liberty Emmanuel Holiness Church of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughters: Lisa Biggs of Fitzgerald and Sarah Biggs of Fitzgerald; grandsons: Steven Alexander Biggs, Tyler Austin Biggs, Devon Nicholas Biggs, Jerry Blackshear, III, and Justin Daniel Blackshear; a brother, Jimmy & Kathy Register of Fitzgerald; a sister, Julia & Earl Ray of Fitzgerald; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Wayne Register, Larry Register, and David Register; and a sister, Joyce Pfeifle.
