Renate Kochanowski of 70 Myrtlebank Ave Dorchester, recently passed away after a brief illness at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Breslau Germany on July 11, 1929. Renate is survived by her son Edward Kochanowski his recently deceased wife Dorothy of Quincy, Lisa and William Gallagher of Dorchester, and Barbara Forgue of Quincy. Renate is the beloved grandmother of Kaileigh and William Gallagher, Mark and Renate Cignarella, Timothy March and Karyn Gilmartin, and Eddie and Joey (deceased) Kochanowski. Renate is survived by 7 great grandchildren, Abigail, Ryleigh, and Bridget Gilmartin, Emma and Vivian March, and Elizabeth and Tommy Cignarella. Renate loved and doted on her grandchildren and great granchildren. Always a consummate gift giver year round, especially at Christmas time where Renate glowed with great pride, love, and joy over her family. Renate was well liked by her friends and made new acquaintances easily. She worked for over forty years at the Marion Manner. Mom/Nana will greatly be missed by her whole family and those who knew her. She had faith in Jesus above all.
Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours for Renate, that will be held September 13th from 11:00-12:00pm with a church service proceeding at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
