Pamela Jean Bennett, 66, of Manchester, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 6, 2024, at her home in Manchester, NH. She was born on September 20, 1957, in E. Derry, NH, a daughter of Mildred (Clement) Bennett and the late William A. Bennett. Pamela lived in Manchester for 35 years, formerly living in Chester, NH. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Derry, Class of 1975, and attended UNH Manchester and Hesser College. Pam was the former owner and operator of Pamela’s Nail Salon and Boutique in Manchester. After closing her nail salon, Pamela began working as an LNA at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown. She was a Past Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow Girls, Derry Assembly #15. Pam was an animal rescuer and first responder with HSUS on 9/11. She will be remembered for her abundance of charity work in her community.
In addition to her mother of Chester, Pamela is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Hatch and husband Knealand, and Beverly Robie, of Chester; one nephew, Kevin Hatch and wife Maria of Chester, one niece, Caitlin Robie and husband Richard Twombly of Manchester, her five grandnieces and grandnephews, Nicholas Hatch of Colorado, Sarah Thompson and husband Zack of Michigan, Ethan Hatch of Ohio, Emily Hatch of Chester, and Isaac Twombly of Manchester, as well as great grandnieces Eva Ann and Kay Louise of Michigan.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a life celebration will be held at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium,15 Birch Street, Derry is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the United States, 1255 23rd Street, NW, Suite 450, Washington, DC 20037 or to any animal rescue.
