Obituary

Phyllis "Honey" Louise Glazier (née Giacchetto), aged 84, passed away on August 16, 2024 after a brief illness. Born on March 26, 1940, in East Boston, MA, she was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Honey loved her family, friends, and football. Spending time with her extended family was a joy to her. Celebrating or just getting together to play games or have coffee, she and her late husband David looked forward to these get-togethers. They also shared a love for their New England Patriots going back years. She looked forward to this time of year and the start of the season. Honey's lifelong friends were another big part of her. Meeting them for coffee once a week was a much looked forward to event.

Honey dedicated many years of her life to helping others, first at Filene's Basement as a secretary, and then providing care for the elderly through Homemaker Services. In her later years, Honey was a great help and comfort aiding in the care of close friends.


She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ignazio and Thomasina Giacchetto; brothers Charles, Thomas, and Emil Giacchetto; sister Grace Allen; husband David Glazier; and stepsons William and James Glazier. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Denise Stidham, and her husband, Jonathan; her son, David M. Glazier; stepchildren, Dianne Burns and Robert Glazier; along with many grandchildren, great-grandsons, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John The Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop Street, Winthrop on Saturday September 21 AT 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow immediately in Church Hall.

Interment services will be private

Honey will be remembered for her kind spirit, her dedication to her family and friends.

Donation's may be made in her memory to a charity of ones choice.
