Obituary

West Baldwin- Philip R. Deprez, 56, passed away on Sept. 4, 2024, at home with his family by his
side after a hard Battle with ALL Leukemia.

Born in Portland, Maine, on Nov. 27, 1967, he attended Deering and Lake Region High Schools. He
worked in the construction field all his working years, doing carpentry at Consigli, being his most recent
job, which he absolutely loved.

If he was not working, he was always doing something, he never could sit still very long. He loved the
firepit so much that it was just about a daily thing with him, even in the middle of winter, he would shovel
the pit out just to light it up. His most favorite thing was hanging out with family. He loved the fact that
he got a second chance at being a dad and getting it right when he married his wife Brenda. He'd do
anything he could to help someone, to the point that he became his sister's personal handyman when she
bought her home.

He is predeceased by his adoptive parents, grandparents, Ralph and Edna DePrez, and his younger
brother, Ron Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Beeler of Gorham and her 5 daughters, Denisha, Riley, Sienna,
Iyanna, and Aubrey. His daughter from his early days, Christal Mackenzie of South Portland. He was
a dad figure to other children as well. His bio mother, Cheryl Smith of Buxton, a man he called dad in his
adult years- Ronald Nevers of Hiram. His sister of West Baldwin, Katherine Nevers and her husband,
Harold Geisinger, their children, Victoria, Ronni, Kasey, Toni and their grandchildren, Tati, Haileigh,
Freeman, Vickilyn and Elliyah, as well as his brother's 4 children.

A memorial service will be held on Monday Sept. 16th at 2 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road, Buxton.

A reception will be held afterward at the Portland Eagles Club on St. John St., Portland
