Arthur Zielinski, 80 years old, of Medford, Massachusetts, died on September 2nd, 2024, unexpectedly from natural causes. At the time of his death, he was a resident at The Gables in Winchester, Massachusetts. Arthur was born in Revere, Massachusetts and was the son of the late John and Jenina (Skoropowski) Zielinski. He lived in Chelsea, Massachusetts for two years with his grandmother and then the family moved to Everett, Massachusetts. Arthur graduated from Everett High School and went on to seek a career as a professional driver.
Arthur spent the better part of his career with WWF Paper Company and was recognized as one of their most dependable drivers. He was awarded a plaque and a company ring for his exceptional and safe driving skills.
Arthur met his wife Pauline in 1986 and they were married in 1988 and moved into her family home in Medford where they spent 36 happy years together. They lived on the first floor and Pauline’s mother Rose lived on the second floor. Arthur had a soft spot for Rose and was very attentive to her needs as she grew older. He would spend as much time with her as was humanly possible.
In his retirement years, Arthur joined the Arlington’s Men Club where he would spend time with his friends discussing politics, playing cards and enjoying each other’s company. He also loved antique full-sized trains and would seek out venues where they were displayed so he could explore their inner workings and discover what made them run.
Over the years, one of the highlights that Arthur looked forward to was spending countless holidays and other family outings joining his aunts, uncles and especially his cousins, where they had themed events and had so much fun and got a chance to catch up on what was going on in their lives.
Arthur and Pauline had a time share in Aruba for many years and always looked forward to spending vacations there enjoying the food and beaches. As Arthur grew older, he and Pauline very much loved to travel south to Florida in the winter by bus on 3 to 4-week holidays where they would meet old friends at the resort that they used as home base for whatever Florida had to offer.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife Pauline (Magazzu) Zielinski, his sister, Marlene Austin, his brother-in-law Richard Frizzell, his nephews Michael and Brian Frizzell, his niece Kim Hines (Deceased), and her son Jake whom Arthur treated as a son. He also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
We were very fortunate to have had Arthur as a part of our lives.
