Barbara Carroll Carriger Hope
July 4, 1943 – August 30, 2024
Barbara was born in Hugo, OK to Bennett and Clara Carriger. The family moved to Prosser in 1948, where they farmed on the Roza. Barbara met Shad Hope in college at Central Washington University in Ellensburg where they married. They moved back to Prosser and farmed alongside her parents on the family farm, where their daughters, Stephanie and Rachel, were raised. Barbara and Shad celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this June. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Bennett and Clara Carriger. She is survived by her husband Shad, her daughters Stephanie and Rachel, two grandsons, Kevin and Jason Ward, and her sister Kathy Carriger.
