Obituary

Mr. Paul E. Dumont, 91, of Dracut, passed away peacefully at Greystone Farm in Salem, NH. Born in Plattsburg, NY to the late Emile Dumont and Blanche (Gaudette) Dumont on January 30, 1933. His family moved to Dracut when he was a young boy, years later they bought and ran the Black North Inn which is now known as the Village Inn. Paul served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Raytheon where he worked as a Group Leader in the Missile Systems division for over 25 years. Paul was a longtime member of St Francis Church, he enjoyed being outdoors, bird watching, camping with his family, and he always took great pride in keeping his vehicles clean and shiny. His greatest love was spending time with his family. The widower of Shirley R. (Grenier) Dumont, he was also predeceased by his son Kenneth Dumont. He is survived by his daughter: Cheryl and her husband Steven Nowak of Salem, NH, one sister: Jackie Terry of Bradenton, FL, three grandchildren: Corey Nowak, Kaitlin Nowak, and Benjamin Nowak.

The family is requesting a private ceremony on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm for a graveside service at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett St., Andover.
