LIMERICK- Cheryl L. Cessario, age 56, passed away, surrounded by family, at Maine Medical Center on Sept.1, 2024.
She was born in Saco, the daughter of James Jr. and Sharon (Levesque) Allen.
Cheryl graduated from Massabesic High School and the University of Maine – Orono.
She began her career as a Veterinary Technician at the Mann Memorial Veterinary Clinic and completed her career as a Veterinary Hospital Manager at the Lucky Pet Animal Hospital.
In her early years, Cheryl was a competitive Equestrian athlete and a successful varsity softball and basketball player. She enjoyed relaxing at their vacation home in Rangeley, motorcycling, snowmobiling, and side by side riding. One of her most cherished times was being at home with her family enjoying their pool. She was proud to have taught her children and grandchildren to swim.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years- Jeffrey Cessario Jr., her parents- James Jr. and Sharon Allen of Lyman; children- Nicholas Cessario and his wife Bobbie of Limerick, and Andrew Cessario of Lewiston; siblings- Ben, Tom and James Allen III; and her grandchildren- Sophie, Deakon, Finn, and Tucker Cessario. As well as 5 sisters in law, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday Sept. 6th from 4 – 6 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning Sept. 7th at 10 AM at St. Matthew’s Church, Dora Lane, Limerick.
