Mrs. Barbara A. (Tetrault) Peak, a resident of Burlington, formerly of Medford and beloved wife of Roger E. Peak, passed away at her home on Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024. She was 91 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on March 7, 1933, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Elva I. (Frost) Tetrault. Mrs. Peak was retired from Ropes & Gray in Boston, serving as a Legal Secretary for more than 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching game shows and all word games, especially crossword puzzles. Barbara also enjoyed “Happy Hour” with her friends at Atria in Burlington. In her younger years she was a Prodigy piano player. She and her family loved spending time at Blodgetts Landing at Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her beloved husband, Roger, Barbara is survived by her loving children; Cynthia J. and her husband Michael R. Richal of Needham and Pamela and her husband Scot Somerville of Medford, daughter-in-law; Shannon (Williams) Peak of Derry, New Hampshire, siblings; Mildred Sullivan of Falmouth, Richard Tetrault and is wife Barbara Goldberg of Plymouth, William Tetrault of Woburn, Stephen and his wife Elaine Tetrault of Wilmington and Linda and her husband Steven Bailey of Medford, grandchildren; Kara and her husband Jeff Vinciulla and Lindsay, Andrew and Patrick Somerville, Machayla and Brenden Peak and Daniel Richal, great grandson Dean Vinciulla and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Arthur, Robert, Alma and Michael Tetrault. Barbara was also the loving mother of the late Scott N. Peak, who passed away on October 31, 2023.
Her funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
