Nancy Lucille Clark, 86, of Sandwich, MA died peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital on August 23rd, 2024.
Nancy Lucille Clark was born in Needham, MA to Charles and Doris Guild. She enjoyed lifelong summer trips to Island Pond and Martha’s Vineyard Island. Nancy graduated from Westbrook College and worked various roles as a record and bookkeeper. She met her late husband, William Clark while working one summer on Martha’s Vineyard. Together they raised their three children in the town of Marshfield.
Nancy worked over 25 years as a tax preparer for H&R Block. She enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, reading, boating, sewing, knitting and needle work, antiques, genealogy, volunteering, walking beaches for sea glass and seashells, playing cribbage, golfing, and bingo. Nancy was fun to be with, had a great sense of humor and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her three children, Bill Clark and his wife Tricia, Greg Clark and his wife Maureen, and Laura Cheesman and her husband Scott. Also, her sisters Kathy and Susan and many nieces and nephews. Nancy’s pride and joy were her five grandchildren, Katie, Anna, Heather, Elizabeth, and Gregory.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 6th, 2024, at Saint John’s Episcopal Church, 159 Main Street, Sandwich, MA at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association or to a local animal shelter.
